About Class - Mixed Ages

Child development researchers recommend mixed-age groupings for young children because they foster natural, family-style learning.   Babies often are highly stimulated by watching older kids make music, and older children learn empathy, modeling and a sense of pride at being the "big kid" in class while they continue to learn at their own level.  This mixed-age setting allows siblings to participate together as well as parents, grandparents and caregivers, contrasting with more formal instructional methods. 

Sibling discounts are offered to encourage full family participation.
