About Class - Parent Participation

 Because young children instinctively respond to and imitate their loved ones, the active participation of parents and caregivers - regardless of their perceived musical ability - is an essential part of the rich musical environment we create. A Music Together®, class is a model for DOING music with your child.  We create a safe, non-judgmental space which encourages both you and your child to have fun making music together.  This relaxed and playful atmosphere allows learning to flourish in all children. By providing 2 CDs, and a songbook to take home, we hope to inspire music-making in your everyday family life.

“Rather than simply allowing the parents to be present as observers,” explains founder Ken K. Guilmartin, “we took it as part of our mission to provide them with as fulfilling an experience as we give their children."                     

With centres throughout North America and the world, the Music Together program touches thousands of children and the grown-ups they love by bringing music making back into family life.
